Japan has recently launched a series ofImported foodThe safety regulations concern several categories, the following are the relevant regulations:

(1) The Japanese Ministry of Health and Labour issued Notice No. 0322 No. 1 on March 22, 2023, abolishing the import inspection measures indicated in the notice in the Annex, in which the import inspection measures for China produced consumable seaweed were abolished after the abolition, import supervision and management were carried out in accordance with the general inspection measures.

(2) The Japanese Ministry of Health and Labour issued the Notice No. 0329 No. 1 on March 29, 2023, to revoke the order on the Chinese pepper and simple products (only containing more than 30% of pepper) to revoke the order on the Chinese pepper and simple products (only containing more than 30% of pepper).

The Ministry of Health and Labour of Japan has issued a number of revised food and food additives specification standards, including:

• Revise the limitation standards for the use of additives such as sodium sulfide ethanol (STPPs);
• Revision of the limitation criteria for feed additives, such as amylofenac;
• Revised methods for testing ingredients such as nitarsone in foods.

These announcements are implemented from the date of publication, with limit changes to pesticide veterinary medicines such as amylofenac entering into force one year after the date of publication.

Japan has recently issued a number of safety regulations for imported foods, including the removal of measures for the inspection of sulphur toxin in China-produced seafood and pepper and simple products, and the revision of a number of food and food additive specifications standards.
